MSB Distant – Privacy Policy

MSB Distant ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our MSB Distant mobile application (the "Application") to interact with MSB Distant physical hardware devices.

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Detailed Access, Collection, and Usage of Location Data

To provide our core smart access and automation features, our Application requires access to precise Location permissions.

• How Location Data is Accessed: The Application accesses your device's precise geographical location coordinates (GPS) through background and foreground location services (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, and ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION).

• When Location Data is Collected: Location data is accessed dynamically in the background even when the app is closed or not in use, provided that the "Automated Door Unlocking" feature is enabled by the user.

• How Location Data is Used: When you set a custom automation radius (e.g., 50 meters) in the settings, the app runs a lightweight background listener to detect when your smartphone approaches the physical hardware unit. Once you enter the defined perimeter, the app triggers the physical lock to unlock automatically.

• Storage of Location Data: We do not collect, transmit, or store your location data on external servers. Location coordinates are entirely processed locally, in real-time, on your smartphone chip to communicate with the hardware via Bluetooth/Local Network. No historical tracking data is generated or kept.

2. Data Retention and Storage Period (How Long We Retain Data)

We adhere strictly to data minimization principles regarding user account data:

• Account Data Retention: Any essential data required to maintain your user account (such as your account profile, device pairings, and basic login tokens) is stored securely on our encrypted servers for as long as your account remains active.

• Sensitive Sensor & Location Data Retention: As stated above, sensitive data including precise location and background movement status is never stored. It is processed instantaneously in volatile memory (RAM) and discarded immediately after the door unlocking command is sent.

3. Data Deletion Instructions (How Users Can Delete Their Data)

We provide users with full transparency and control over their data, including the right to delete it completely.

• How to Request Data Deletion Within the App: Users can delete their account and all associated personal data instantly by navigating to Settings -> Account -> Delete Account within the Application. Confirming this action will permanently purge all registration records, device access history, and paired device configurations from our live servers.

• How to Request Data Deletion Via Web / Support: Alternatively, you can request the permanent erasure of your data at any time by sending a direct email to our data protection team at info@msb.az. Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and completely remove all your data from our databases within 7 business days, confirming the deletion via email.

• Revoking App Permissions: You can stop all future background location and activity data access instantly by toggling off the "Automated Door Unlocking" switch in the app settings, or by changing the app permissions to "Deny" in your smartphone’s System Settings.

4. Bluetooth and Physical Motion Recognition

• Bluetooth Permissions (Scan & Connect): Required to discover and securely transmit unlock commands to your physical MSB Distant V3 hardware device.

• Activity Recognition (Motion State Detection): Required to detect your motion status (walking/driving). This ensures that background high-accuracy GPS tracking is only woken up when you are actively moving, protecting your smartphone's battery from draining. This data is processed 100% locally on your device.

5. Third-Party Sharing and Advertisement

• No Commercial Sharing: We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data, location data, or device identifiers with third-party companies.

• No Tracking IDs: The Application does not use third-party Advertising IDs (Ad ID) for tracking, behavioral analytics, or marketing purposes.
